Overseen in NYC: Hatred
I took these two shots on different days, in completely different parts of the city. These two gentleman have nothing to do with one another, and I don’t want to make any assumptions about what their tatoos mean to them. But taken out of context and pressed beside one another like this… wow. There’s a lot burning in the ‘melting pot.’

“There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28, NLT
“For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19, NLT

How were you able to get these shots?! Amazing, and also, somewhat sad to see… Thanks for sharing and for the insight.
I feel the same way. Can only imagine what kind of experiences prompt someone to get “hate” or “hated” permanently inked in their skin.
As far as getting the shots goes, the guy on the train was easy, ’cause his back was turned. With the guy walking down the street, I had noticed his knuckles, took my phone out, and snapped a quick shot as I walked past. I couldn’t believe how well-composed and clear it turned out.
